Hands-On Integrated Project
This module offers students a unique opportunity to put their knowledge into practice. It focuses on real and hands-on projects, allowing students to apply the theories and concepts they’ve learned in lectures and seminars throughout the 1st semester. This module assesses students’ ability to design, structure, and execute a project idea in a hands-on manner.

MODULE CONTENTS
This module is designed in a multidisciplinary approach, allowing students to apply their knowledge from previous modules. Students collaborate in small groups of 2 to 4 persons, guided by two tutors with diverse backgrounds. The project revolves around an applied smart city concept that may be implemented at local level. Over a span of 4 months in Semester 1, students work autonomously to deliver a tangible output, which could be a study, a prototype, or an object addressing one or more smart city challenges.

The Hands-on Integrated Project is a practical cornerstone of the MSc Engineers for Smart Cities, enabling students to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application while cultivating essential skills for their future careers in the smart city sector.
